Health & Family Welfare com&secy inspects work on DH Zunheboto

Commissioner and Secretary, Health & Family Welfare (H&FW), Anoop Khinchi, visited Zunheboto district on October 19 and inspected the ongoing construction of the District Hospital and evaluated the functioning of Chief Medical Officer’s (CMO) office and the hospital.


He was accompanied by senior health officials, including Dr. Kikameren Longkumer, joint director DH&FW, Dr. J. Hokugha Sema, deputy director, DH&FW, and Dr. Alemwapang Aier, State Programme Officer (NCD).


A press statement from District Media Officer Zunheboto, Keneikhrietuo informed that a joint meeting was also held at the District Hospital conference hall, where district health officials presented key issues related to infrastructure and workforce shortages.


Deputy Commissioner Zunheboto, Rahul Bhanudas Mali, emphasized the urgent need for development in the Aspirational Block, Akuhaito, to ensure the district meets key performance indicators and health service goals. Dr. Antoly Suu, Deputy CMO, presented a detailed report on the district’s health services through a PowerPoint presentation. The meeting was attended by health officials from the district and the hospital.


Additionally, a separate session was held with civil society organizations to discuss land ownership concerns affecting the current District Hospital.
