Nagaland: Home dept seeks entries for Governor’s awards

Home Department, Political Branch, Government of Nagaland has issued a notification inviting recommendations for consideration of the Governor’s Gold Medal and Commendation Certificates to be awarded on Republic Day, January 26, 2026.
The department informed that recommendations, if any, should be submitted latest by December 15, 2025, as per the prescribed guidelines. Details of candidates must be submitted in the format provided in Annexure-A, while citations in narrative form should not exceed one page (A4 size).
In respect of gazetted officers, recommendations are to be routed through the concerned Head of Department, with the Administrative Head duly signing and forwarding them to the Special Secretary, Home Department. For non-gazetted staff, the Head of Department shall sign and forward the recommendations to the Special Secretary.
Recommendations relating to Police, Home Guards, Prisons and Fire Services must be submitted through their respective Director General or Head of Department.
For NGOs, individuals, and employees under the establishment of Deputy Commissioners, the Deputy Commissioners shall submit the recommendations to the Commissioner, Nagaland, who will sign and forward them to the Special Secretary, Home Department.
The notification further stated that six copies of recommendations or citations duly signed by the recommending authority should be forwarded along with a soft copy in Word format.
