Nagaland Hornbill Festival: Kohima Police advisory for tourists

DIMAPUR, NOV 30 (NPN)

In view of the 26th edition of the Hornbill Festival scheduled to be held at Kisama Heritage Village from December 1 to 10, Kohima Police has issued an advisory for tourists and visitors to ensure a safe and hassle-free experience.
According to the advisory, all travellers have been urged to strictly adhere to travel and security guidelines issued periodically by the government and law-enforcement agencies.
Kohima Police stated that compliance with these instructions was essential for the smooth and peaceful conduct of the festival.
Police also advised all car pass holders- particularly those with ‘Z’ category passes- to take necessary precautions to prevent theft, loss or misuse of passes.
It cautioned that leaving passes inside unattended vehicles or handling them carelessly could compromise festival security and movement arrangements.
Visitors have been encouraged to seek help from Tourist Police or any on-duty police personnel in case of complaints, inconvenience or any difficulty. Kohima Police informed that personnel would be stationed at key festival locations to extend assistance and ensure public safety.
Kohima Police sought the cooperation of all visitors and stakeholders for the successful celebration of Hornbill Festival 2025.
