A three-day innovation, design and entrepreneurship (ide) bootcamp for principals and teachers of PM SHRI schools from Nagaland and Tripura commenced on February 4 at the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Nagaland.
The programme is being organised by the Department of School Education and Literacy, All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and the Ministry of Education Innovation Cell (MIC), in collaboration with the Wadhwani Foundation, known for its support of entrepreneurship education.
The State level inauguration ceremony was held on February 4 and was graced by eminent dignitaries, including director of NIT Nagaland, Dr. (Prof.) A. Elayaperumal, who delivered the keynote address. The programme also featured addresses by Dr. D. Ganga, associate dean, Program SPOC & Coordinator, NIT Nagaland; Vidhikar Vishal, Innovation Cell, AICTE, Ministry of Education; and Dr. Nzanthung Ngullie, Associate Dean & Program Coordinator, NIT Nagaland, along with senior officials from higher educational institutions.
Over 130 principals and teachers from PM SHRI Schools of Nagaland and Tripura are participating in the bootcamp. The event features group activities, immersive working sessions, and workshops designed to foster creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving skills. It also aims to help participants explore the “why,” “what,” and “how” of innovation while strengthening entrepreneurial thinking in education.
