Nagaland IDIA conducts legal awareness sessions for students in Shamator

Dimapur

Increasing Diversity by Increasing Access (IDIA) Organisation, Kohima Law College Nagaland Chapter, conducted “A Law for All” sessions in Shamator district on October 27, aimed at promoting legal awareness among students.
The sessions were held at St. Xavier Higher Secondary School and Government Higher Secondary School, where students were sensitized on basic legal concepts, fundamental rights, and career opportunities in the legal field.
Led by a team comprising four members and a team leader, the resource persons from IDIA highlighted the importance of legal literacy in empowering young citizens and fostering a just society. Interactive discussions were held to help students understand the role of law in everyday life and the significance of pursuing legal education.
The programme received positive feedback from students and school authorities, who appreciated IDIA’s initiative to spread legal awareness in rural areas and encourage informed civic participation.
