Nagaland: Indian Army invites applications for Agniveer Recruitment 2027

The Indian Army has announced online applications for eligible unmarried male candidates from Nagaland and Manipur under the Agniveer Recruitment – 2027, as part of the Agnipath Scheme. The recruitment process will be conducted by the Army Recruiting Office (ARO), Rangapahar.
According to the official notification, online registration opened on February 13, 2026 and will remain active until April 1, 2026. Applications can be submitted through the Army’s official portal, www.joinindianarmy.nic.in (joinindianarmy.nic.in in Bing). Aspirants have been advised to regularly check the website for updates or changes in schedule.
The Online Common Entrance Examination (CEE) is tentatively scheduled between June 1 and June 15, 2026, with final dates to be announced later. The recruitment drive will cover multiple categories including Agniveer (General Duty), Agniveer (Technical), Agniveer Clerk/Store Keeper Technical and Agniveer Tradesmen.
Eligibility criteria vary by category: Agniveer (GD): Class 10 pass with minimum 45% aggregate and 33% in each subject; Agniveer (Technical): 10+2 with Physics, Mathematics and English with 50% aggregate or relevant ITI/diploma; Agniveer Clerk/Store Keeper Technical: Class 12 in any stream with 60% aggregate and 50% in each subject including English and Mathematics/Accounts and Tradesmen: Class 10 or Class 8 qualification depending on trade.
Age eligibility ranges from 17½ to 22 years, with candidates born between July 1, 2005 and July 1, 2009 eligible to apply.
The selection process will be conducted in two phases. Phase one will be the Online CEE, available in multiple languages including English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali and Marathi. Qualified candidates will proceed to phase two—a Recruitment Rally comprising Physical Fitness Test, Physical Measurement Test and Medical Examination. The fitness test includes a 1.6 km run, pull-ups, nine-foot ditch jump and zig-zag balance. Prescribed standards for height, chest and weight will also apply.
