Nagaland influencers summit 2025 begins at Kohima

The Nagaland Influencers Summit 2025 began on Saturday at The Heritage, Old DC Bungalow, Kohima, marking the start of a three-day initiative focused on empowering and professionalising the digital creator community in the state.
Organised by Skills & Co and Synergy Group under the theme “Where Influence Meets Reality, Culture and Progress,” the summit is the first structured platform in Nagaland for influencers, content creators, and youth entrepreneurs. It aims to build a professional and accountable ecosystem that supports digital skills, entrepreneurship, and responsible online engagement.
Head of Programme at Akashvani Kohima, Ella Kayina highlighted radio’s evolving role in today’s media landscape. She said the station operates two channels—Primary and FM Tragopan—offering programmes on news, women and children, youth, health, sports, music, and senior citizens.
Kayina noted that the station regularly hosts interns from within and outside Nagaland, though many do not get live studio exposure. To address this, the station engages the public through outreach events and exhibits.
She cautioned creators to be responsible and ethical in the digital age. “Every post can be traced back to its source,” she said, urging vigilance against misinformation. She added that radio is now easily accessible via smartphones and social media platforms like X, Instagram, and YouTube.
Principal of the State Institute of Hotel Management (SIHM), Dimapur, Deepak Srivastava spoke on the relevance of hospitality careers for youth. With global experience across Europe, the Middle East, and India, he described hospitality as a profession rooted in “passion, precision, and people.”
He said true influence goes beyond followers and is about inspiring, informing, and creating opportunities. Srivastava highlighted SIHM’s 11-acre campus with hostels, food services, sports and music facilities, and 24-hour security.
He said the institute provides skill-based education and guarantees placements in five-star hotels, aviation, cruise lines, and travel sectors in India and abroad.
He encouraged parents and youth to view hospitality as a global and rewarding industry and emphasised the role of digital storytellers in connecting Nagaland to wider audiences. “The future of hospitality in Nagaland is bright, and it begins with each one of you,” he said.
Programme Highlights
The inaugural session was hosted by FM Tragopan RJ Keneisenuo Rio, with invocation by Chubasenla Nokdir of Kohima Ao Baptist Church. Poet and academic Dr. Theyiesinuo Keditsu shared the summit’s vision, while Rev. Dr. Ruokuovilie Sachu of Khedi Baptist Church delivered a special message.
Scheduled from October 18 to 20, the summit includes workshops, keynotes, panel talks, masterclasses, networking sessions, and knowledge-sharing platforms. Organisers said it aims to streamline the influencer market, ensure accountability, and guide creators toward purposeful engagement. The event will feature creator showcases, open mic sessions, concerts, and a gala night with awards. A “Worship Sunday” segment by Powerfaith Ministry will focus on faith and community.
Organisers said collaborations will follow strict compliance protocols, including financial guidelines, written partnerships, safety measures, and post-event reporting. They expressed confidence that the summit will serve as a transformative movement for young digital creators—“where creativity meets purpose and influence drives progress.”
