Joint Coordination Committee (JCC) on IAS Induction (CANSSEA, FONSESA, NIDA, NSSA & NF&ASA) on Wednesday declared the intensification of its ongoing “pen down strike” along with “tools down strike” effective from November 6, 2025 till their demand for restoration of merit was fulfilled.
JCC through its media cell informed that decision to intensify the agitation was taken after it received no positive response from the government even after more than 40 days into the peaceful agitation.
JCC said the current form of agitation would continue till further instructions were issued, adding it could be escalated further, if necessary.
The committee said that “tools down strike”, which was kept on hold earlier, would begin effective from November 6, 2025 with the active participation of All Nagaland Government Drivers’ Association, Nagaland Civil Secretariat Drivers’ Association, All Nagaland Directorate & District Government Drivers’ Union and the Nagaland Civil Secretariat Grade-IV Staff Employees Association.
JCC reiterated its resolution that until its demands were met by the government and transparency and merit restored by way of (i) Restoring March 10, 2025 Vacancy Circular and (ii) Withdraw non-NPSC/backdoor candidate from the panel list, their democratic agitation would continue.
However, JCC has stated that all essential services and employees/officers associated with it were exempted from the purview of “tools down strike.”
JCC members in all the directorates/service associations have been requested to ensure that essential services were not disrupted and inconvenience was not caused to the general public. JCC said the peaceful and democratic agitation was strictly limited to the place of work.
The committee cautioned that any member violating its guidelines/instructions would be solely responsible for any untoward incidents.
