Officers from the Office of the Joint Controller of Communication Accounts (Joint CCA), North East–II Circle, carried out field inspections of Digital Bharat Nidhi (DBN) sites under the 4G Saturation Project in Mokokchung district on February 3, 2026. The project is being implemented through the Amended BharatNet initiative.
In a press release, Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Press Information Bureau Kohima informed that inspections were conducted at three sites located in Asetti (Ur), Chubarongpang, and Tuli villages. The exercise focused on assessing the readiness and functionality of 4G infrastructure, including installed equipment, power availability, backhaul connectivity, and service quality parameters, to ensure reliable mobile broadband connectivity in uncovered and remote areas.
The inspection team also reviewed site-level records and project documentation to verify transparent utilization of DBN funds and compliance with technical and financial guidelines, while identifying challenges for timely resolution.
Speaking on the occasion, K. Sajal, Joint CCA, North East–II, said the inspections were undertaken to ensure effective delivery of DBN-funded 4G infrastructure in line with project objectives and digital inclusion goals. The inspection reflects the continued monitoring efforts of the Office of Joint CCA, North East–II, towards strengthening digital infrastructure and supporting universal digital access in the North Eastern Region.
