Kulolau Atoizumi Küqhakulu (KAK) has strongly condemned the “brutal assault” on its bona fide member, Kakuto Yeptho, which occurred on the night of January 29, 2026, at Niuland Petrol Pump.
In a press statement, KAK president, Sawoto Yesca and information & media secretary Vikato I. Chishi, termed the attack “unprovoked, cowardly and barbaric,” noting that the victim had no role in instigating the incident.
It stated that despite the petrol pump being closed, the accused forcibly demanded fuel and, upon refusal, carried out a violent assault that left the victim seriously injured. The Union described the act as one of “criminal arrogance, moral depravity, and contempt for human dignity and the rule of law.”
KAK commended the swift action of Niuland Police in arresting the accused on January 31, 2026, and lauded their professionalism and commitment to justice.
The Union demanded the strictest legal action against the accused to ensure exemplary punishment, deliver justice to the victim, and deter such acts in the future. Kulolau Atoizumi Küqhakulu reaffirmed solidarity with the victim and declared that violence, intimidation, and lawlessness would not be tolerated.
