Nagaland: Kenye calls for unity, sacrifice, responsible development

DIMAPUR

Nagaland’s power & parliamentary affairs minister K. G. Kenye on Saturday graced the 57th edition of the Thetsümi Youth Society as the Special Guest.
In his speech, the minister urged the community to reflect on its present condition and future direction.
The Minister emphasized that education alone is no longer sufficient in today’s world, stating that progress requires a combination of education, economic strength, and unity.
While underscoring the importance of preserving the values of the forefathers, he highlighted the growing relevance of wealth creation and collective effort for sustainable development.
Expressing concern over the declining spirit of sacrifice and unity, he noted that society is facing a leadership crisis, making it difficult to achieve meaningful progress.
He stressed that without love, unity, and cooperation, development remains impossible.
Questioning the pace of development even after more than sixty years of Nagaland’s statehood, the Minister urged people to adopt smarter approaches and learn from more advanced societies.
Further, Kenye called upon the people to uphold Christian values of love and unity and to work together for the betterment of society.
