Nagaland: Ket Meth releases music video for ‘I Can’t Move On’

Ket Meth, also known as Viketoulie Metha, a Naga artist based in Kohima, Nagaland, has released the official music video for his latest single “I Can’t Move On,” featuring JoeyBanana. The release offers a restrained and emotionally grounded exploration of love’s quiet aftermath, focusing on the stillness that follows the end of a relationship before healing begins.
According to a press release, “I Can’t Move On” dwells in the space between loss and acceptance. Rather than dramatizing heartbreak, the song lingers on intimate, everyday moments, empty rooms, sleepless nights, and memories that refuse to fade. The recurring line “I can’t move on” is presented not as a sign of weakness, but as an act of emotional honesty, articulating a feeling many experience but find difficult to express. The music video, directed by Maong Imsong and produced by Nestvibe Production, complements the song’s emotional restraint through a minimalistic visual approach. Creative lighting by Tinuakum Kichu plays a significant role in shaping the mood, using controlled contrasts and subdued tones to reflect inner conflict and emotional stillness. Deliberate framing, silence, and pauses are used as narrative devices, allowing subtle expressions to convey longing and emotional dependence.
Avoiding spectacle or resolution, the video chooses to remain with discomfort, staying true to the song’s core sentiment. Together, the music and visuals form an intimate portrayal of emotional inertia, acknowledging that healing is seldom immediate and that honesty often comes before closure.
