The 67th Sports Meet (Wrestling) 2026 of the Chedema Village Youth Organization (CVYO) was held on January 6 at Chedema village under Kohima district.
In the senior category, Kezhavizo Thevo clinched the champion’s title, while Neiphrevilie Chakrüno, Kevikrolie Pienyü and Vikhonyü Keyho secured the second, third and fourth positions respectively.
In the junior under-15 category, Teisovituo Pienyü emerged as champion. Khriebeiu Suokhrie, Ruokuokhotuo Pienyü and Kevidelhou Chakrüno finished in second, third and fourth positions respectively.
The event was graced by Nagaland Football Association president and All India Football Federation (AIFF) Executive Committee member, K. Neibou Sekhose, as the special guest. CVYO president Rüguotsolie Thevo delivered the welcome address.
The closing ceremony was attended by vice president of the 10th Northern Angami Assembly Constituency NPF, Zakieneituo Zhale, who gave away prizes to the winners.
This year’s wrestling meet was hosted by the Sakou Khel Youth Organization.
