Nagaland Khonoma Students’ Union conducts 10th edition of ‘Green Fest’

DIMAPUR

The Khonoma Students’ Union (KSU) conducted the 10th edition of “Green Fest”, a voluntary cleanliness drive carried out in and around the village on November 22 to maintain cleanliness in and around the village.
The KSU also reminded the public that Khonoma, being a Green Village, upholds a strict and uncompromising commitment to cleanliness. It has been observed that many visitors continue to disregard these practices despite repeated reminders and clearly displayed notice boards.
The Union further stated that as the Hornbill Festival and the festive season approach, it welcomed all visitors to Khonoma and encouraged everyone to respect and uphold the village’s cleanliness traditions.
With the participation of around 50 volunteers, the initiative helped thoroughly clean various parts of the village. The Union also extended its gratitude to volunteers and well-wishers, including those who contributed financially towards the success of the event.
