Khrülhüto Venyo, son of Vepratso Venyo, emerged as the champion of the Naga wrestling event during the 54th Thüvopisümi Youth Association (TYA) Wrestling-cum-Games & Sports Meet 2025 held at Thüvopisümi village in Phek district.
The runners-up positions were secured by Vetanyi Venyo, son of Lt. Cekhwüsayi Venyo, who claimed second place, followed by Lhükhozo Shijoh, son of Veswüsa Shijoh, in third place, and Lüdove Venyo, son of Phiveo Venyo, in fourth place.
The inaugural function was graced by chairman of Phek Town Council (PTC), Shevohu Nienu, as the special guest. TYA president Nülhüta Dozo delivered the presidential address, while GB Lhüveto Venyo exhorted the gathering. The oath to the wrestlers was administered by TSA games and sports secretary Vevo Dozo, with the programme led by Künükhrüyi Dozo.
The meet will conclude with a valedictory function on December 19, where chairman of Thüvopisü village council, Vetsüta Venyo, will attend as the guest of honour.
