Nagaland: Khumiasü Küchienyiri Kügharü holds 10th annual session

DIMAPUR

Khumiasü Küchienyiri Kügharü held its 10th annual session on January 3 at Khumiasü village under the theme “Dream, Dare, Deliver!”
The conference was graced by PWD (Housing), Division No-1, Kohima, junior engineer, Tv. Er. R. Shurhotho Nyusou, as the main speaker.
Addressing the gathering, Nyusou spoke on the essence of the theme, emphasising that dreams are sparks of imagination that light the path to the future, giving direction, vision and purpose in life. He reminded students of Eleanor Roosevelt’s words, “The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.”
He stressed that dreaming alone was not enough and urged students to dare to pursue their dreams by stepping out of their comfort zones and confronting fears. Citing the life of Thomas Edison, who faced numerous failures before inventing the electric light bulb, he encouraged students to be bold, brave and resilient, and to recognise every challenge as an opportunity for growth.
Underscoring the importance of delivery, Nyusou noted that dreams carried little value without execution, as true progress began when planning turned into action. Stressing accountability, commitment and perseverance, he observed that success was built on consistent effort. Quoting Richard Branson, he added, “The best way of learning is by doing.”
The second session was graced by graduate teacher, Tv. Tholisie Poji, who urged students not to limit their aspirations to white-collar jobs alone, but to identify their capabilities and explore alternative paths such as entrepreneurship. He remarked that while Nagaland has many graduates, there is a lack of professionalism, and encouraged students to be creative, skill-oriented and to excel in diverse fields for broader opportunities.
The programme began with an invocation prayer by St. Michael Church, Khumiasü, local catechist, Tv. Riechusie Nyusou.
