Nagaland KMC directive for TVL compliance

Kohima Municipal Council (KMC) has issued a notification directing all vendors and retail shops engaged in tobacco vending activities within its jurisdiction to obtain the mandatory Tobacco Vendor Licence (TVL) from the KMC office.
In a notification, Chief Executive Officer Zapuno Sophie, cautioned that non-compliance will invite appropriate action under the provisions of the Cigarettes and Other Tobacco Products Act (COTPA), 2003.
