Nagaland: Kohima Police seek public assistance to identify deceased

Kohima Police has appealed to the public for assistance in identifying an untraced individual who passed away under tragic circumstances on February 13.
According to PRO of Kohima police, on February 8, 2026, an unknown male, aged approximately 25–30 years, fair complexion, height around 5.7 ft., dressed in a light grey shirt and black trousers, was found lying unconscious near Phoolbari area, Kohima.
He was admitted to NHAK ICU but succumbed to his condition on February 13 at around 6:30 a.m.
The deceased bore two distinctive tattoos: a chest tattoo inscribed with the number “1997” and a full-hand tattoo on his left arm.
Police informed that all legal formalities have been completed and the body is currently kept at the North Police Station morgue for identification.
