The Kohima Science College Jotsoma (KSCJ) Lotha Students’ Union celebrated its Golden Jubilee at the college auditorium on November 22, marking 50 years since its founding in 1975. The celebration was held under the theme “Julitsen Lona Hungjanrüjan Bokchetala” (From heritage springs wisdom).
The programme began with an invocation by Khonbemo Ngullie, Pastor, Kohima Lotha A.G. Church, while jubilee blessing was offered by Rev Dr K Benri Lotha, senior pastor, Kohima Lotha Baptist Church.
Yanpvuthung Kikon , additional secretary, water resources department, government of Nagaland, who delivered the jubilee theme address, stressed on the importance of drawing wisdom from cultural heritage while pursuing academic growth.
Dr. Chumben Murry, former minister and advisor to the chief minister, graced the event as the special guest and commended the union for its contributions to student welfare and leadership development over the decades.
The programme concluded with a closing prayer by MKivipu Jimomi, chaplain, Campus Christian Fellowship, KSCJ.
