DIMAPUR

Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) Kohima organised an animal health camp on February 13 at Kashanyu village under Tseminyu district, with the participation of 40 farmers.
According to a press release from KVK Kohima, the camp was led by Dr. Paihem Michui, ACTO (Animal Science), who stressed the importance of deworming, vaccination, and biosecurity measures to prevent disease outbreaks. He also highlighted the need for regular supplementation of vitamins and minerals to livestock, including poultry, for improved health and productivity.
The programme focused on strengthening farmers’ technical knowledge and skills in livestock management, thereby enhancing animal health and farm output. Veterinary medicines were distributed among the farmers as part of the initiative.
