Nagaland Legislative Assembly (NLA) has declared as vacant the 28 Koridang Assembly Constituency seat with effect from November 12, 2025 following the passing of late Imkong L Imchen, MLA.
Imkong L Imchen, who was elected from 28 Koridang Assembly Constituency, passed away in Guwahati on November 11, 2025 after a brief illness. He was 75. He was holding the charge of advisor for the Department of Information & Public Relations and Soil & Water Conservation. Imchen entered the State Assembly as an Independent from 28 Koridang A/C in 2003 and was re-elected (2008, 2013 and 2018) on NPF ticket and 2023 as BJP legislator.
