Linoka Yepthomi, representing Chümoukedima, was crowned Miss Sümi 2025 at a glittering pageant held on November 7 at the Town Hall, Zunheboto. The prestigious event, organized by the Sümi Totimi Hoho, brought together eight talented contestants competing for the coveted title under the theme, “Sülimi Yegha.”
The crown was followed by Akinali Kits representing Kohima, who was adjudged First Runner-Up, and Linoka Achumi from Saptiqa, who secured the position of Second Runner-Up.
The event was graced by director of Livingston Foundation International School and College, Dimapur Ani Yepthomi as the special guest.
In her address, Ani Yepthomi highlighted the importance of pursuing excellence and nurturing character in every sphere of life.
“The youth represent hope for their generation, and their worth is defined by character, not strength or beauty,” she said. “Strong women seek confidence.
Pain and purpose walk together. God humbles those who exalt themselves; don’t let pride stand in your way.”
Encouraging the contestants to believe in themselves and their purpose, Yepthomi urged them to “shape the world with kindness, compassion, and love,” while also reminding them to remain grounded, grateful to God, and appreciative of those who support them.
The distinguished judging panel for Miss Sümi 2025 included, chief judge president, Northeast Beauty Pageant Organization & Beauty and Aesthetic Society of Nagaland, Mele Pucho: president, Ethnic Group of Nagaland (EGoN) & LA Creation & Entertainment, D Ledia Awomi: Miss Sumi 2022, Miss Nagaland 2022, and recipient of the Beauty & Glamour Creation Award 2025, Hikali, assistant professor, Zunheboto Government College, Achumi Isatoli Aye and actor, director, and producer; Founder & Director of King Chillies Entertainment, Dimapur; and founder of the first Naga OTT platform, Nagaflix, Aghato K Naga.
The event was hosted by Ikali Achumi and Tunavi G. Assumi, with an invocation by Rev. Inakhu Sumi, Pastor of Zunheboto Town Sümi Baptist Church.
The welcome address was delivered by Vitoli Rochill, President of Sümi Totimi Hoho, followed by a presentation by Tavinto K. Sumi, Event Coordinator, and a vote of thanks from Linoto Yeptho, Organizing Secretary, Sümi Totimi Hoho.
