LKSRMT celebrates Platinum Jubilee in Mokokchung

Longmisa Kaketshir Senden Riju Mokokchung Telongtet (LKSRMT) celebrated its Platinum Jubilee on January 8 at T.T Garden, Tzusapang Sector, Mokokchung Village. The event, held under the theme “Züroket Mera” (Dignified Strides), was graced by assistant commissioner of State Taxes, L. Meren Pongen, as the special guest, while Pastor Dr. S.N. Among Jamir of Kohima Ao Baptist Church served as the main speaker.
Addressing the gathering, Pongen urged students to keep pace with the rapidly changing world and called on the youth to actively contribute to societal transformation. He emphasized the importance of creating and seizing opportunities in a competitive environment and encouraged youngsters to focus on economic development for the growth of society.
The program also witnessed the release of a jubilee souvenir by the special guest. Earlier in the program, a minute of silence was observed for remembrance of the departed souls. Greeting speeches were delivered by presidents of LKSR Headquarter, Dimapur and Kohima.
While short speeches were delivered by president, Longmisa Senso Telongjem Mokokchung, Moasashi and president, Longmisa Tetsur Telongjem, Mokokchung, Samanungla.
