Nagaland: Local man found dead on Dmu Rly station platform

The office of the Commissionerate of Police of Dimapur has notified that it received a written memo from the station manager of NF Railway Dimapur, stating that one non-naga male (35 years approx) was found dead at Dimapur railway platform No.3.
The press release by PRO Commissioner of Police (Crime), stated that accordingly, on receipt of information, the duty party rushed to the place of occurrence and conducted inquest. During inquest, it has been determined that the passenger from train number 75602 Lumding Express fell from a running train, causing serious head and legs injury.
It is suspected that the said person was a vagrant or homeless individual travelling from one station to station without proper train ticket, who may have fallen from running train as per witness statements and observations at the scene. No identity card or relevant documents was recovered from his possession for identification.
The injured person was imminently evacuated to District Hospital Dimapur for medical treatment. However, on December 10, he succumbed to his injuries at DHD. On completion of all legal formalities, the dead body was shifted to District Hospital Dimapur Morgue for PM examination/identification.
Description of the deceased is dark complexion, wearing black colour long-pants, Light blue colour half pant (inner wear,) white T-shirt, Black jacket, no foot wear and a black mole on the stomach near navel.
