Nagaland logs 17 fresh Covid-19 cases, 4 more deaths

Nagaland on Friday recorded 17 fresh Covid-19 positive cases while four more patients succumbed to the infection.

Of the fresh cases, seven were reported in Kohima, six in Dimapur and two each in Kiphire and Phek, taking the total caseload to 30780.

Further, three patients in Dimapur and one in Kohima succumbed to the infection, pushing the death toll to 652 (including 14 non-Covid deaths but with positivity).

Meanwhile, a total of 967998 persons have been inoculated against Covid-19 (676520 first dose and 291478 second dose).

PTI: With 34,403 more people testing positive for COVID-19, India’s overall infection tally has increased to 3,33,81,728, while the count of active cases has dipped to 3,39,056, according to Union health ministry data updated on Friday.

The death toll due to the disease has climbed to 4,44,248 with 320 more fatalities being recorded, it said

The number of active cases now comprises 1.03 per cent of the total infections, while the national COVID-19 recovery rate has been recorded at 97.64 per cent, according to the data updated by the ministry at 8 am.
