Nagaland on Friday reported five fresh Covid-19 cases while one more patient succumbed to the infection. Three cases were reported from Dimapur and one each in Kohima and Longleng, taking the total caseload to 35,827. Mokokchung reported one more Covid fatality, pushing the death toll to 772 (including 5 non-Covid deaths but with positivity).
The State currently has 68 active cases– one admitted to Covid hospital and 67 under home isolation.
Meanwhile, India on Friday reported a total of 20,551 new coronavirus infections taking the total tally to 4,41,07,588, according to the Union Health Ministry data. The death toll has climbed to 5,26,600 with 70 new fatalities, the data updated at 8 am stated.
