Lotha Colony Council held the induction ceremony of its newly elected office bearers on January 12 at the Lotha Colony Council Hall, marking a transition in the colony’s leadership.
The office bearers elected for the tenure 2026–2030 are: chairman–Wosumo Humtsoe; vice chairman–Chenio Tungoe; secretary–Vanjamo Murry; assistant secretary–Subenthung Yanthan; and treasurer–Zumomo Tsanglao.
On the occasion, appreciation and gratitude were expressed to outgoing chairman, Renathung Ezung, who served the colony with dedication for 12 years. His selfless leadership and tireless contribution towards the welfare, unity and overall development of Lotha Colony were fondly acknowledged, leaving behind a legacy of committed service.
The programme was chaired by O. Nchumbemo Jami, while dedicatory prayer for both outgoing and incoming office bearers was offered by M. John Humtsoe, catechist of Holy Trinity Church. Short speeches were also delivered by representatives of LCMU and LVYO, encouraging the new leadership to serve with integrity, unity and responsibility.
The ceremony concluded with renewed hope and collective commitment for the continued progress of Lotha Colony.
