The Lhisemia Students’ Union (LSU) Autumn Sports 2025 kicked off in Kohima on October 24, showcasing young Lhisemia athletes’ raw talent, grit, and determination in badminton and table tennis.
The finals are scheduled for October 25 at 3 PM at L. Khel Indoor Stadium, featuring badminton boys’ singles and doubles, girls’ singles, and the table tennis boys’ singles showdown between sensational paddlers Mhasivi Miachieo and Vilavotuo Linyü.
Day-2 witnessed the 7-A-Side futsal action at Mez & Co Sports Arena with president of the Kohima District Football Association, Mhasimhalie Mathew Yhome, as the special guest, where Group-A were crowned champions and walked away with cash rewards and citations.
The final day of the event will feature basketball at Don Bosco Higher Secondary School Ground at 9 AM, followed by the remaining finals of badminton and table tennis at L. Khel Indoor Stadium at 3 PM, with the Lhisemia Gazetted Officers’ Krotho gracing the closing ceremony as the guest of honour.
The event will conclude with a variety show featuring rising artistes, as the LSU aims to celebrate the weekend as a sports fest while nurturing the next generation of Lhisemia athletes.
