Medanta–The Medicity, in collaboration with the Investment & Development Authority of Nagaland (IDAN) and the Government of Nagaland, organised a free health check-up camp at Chiechama, Kohima, on February 2, marking the launch of the Medanta Community Outreach Programme.
According to a report, the camp was held from 10:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. with the objective of strengthening access to preventive healthcare services and promoting early detection of non-communicable diseases at the community level.
Medical services provided during the camp included random blood sugar testing, blood pressure and ECG, bone mineral density (BMD), pulmonary function test (PFT) and physician consultation. Around 100 beneficiaries from Chiechama and nearby areas availed the services. A 13-member medical team from Medanta supported the camp.
The programme was facilitated by IDAN as part of its efforts to foster partnerships with reputed institutions and promote inclusive, people-centric development initiatives in the State.
Medanta Community Outreach Programme is envisioned as an ongoing initiative aimed at supporting preventive healthcare, awareness generation and early medical intervention across Nagaland.
