Nagaland: Miscreants steal cash from scooty at Dimapur

Unidentified individuals allegedly stole a large sum of money amounting to Rs 26.95 lakh from a scooty on December 30, while the owners were engaged in buying groceries.
According to police sources, the cash had been withdrawn from a bank shortly before the incident. Taking advantage of the moment when the owners were away from the vehicle, the miscreants reportedly decamped with the money and fled the scene.
Police confirmed the incident and said that an investigation was currently underway, adding that no breakthrough had been made so far.
Police said a case has been registered at Diphupar Police Station and efforts are on to trace the culprits.
