DIMAPUR

Department of Education, Mount Mary College (MMC), Chümoukedima, organised a community outreach programme at the Dimapur Railway Station on March 5, under the theme ‘Compassion in Action’.
A press release by MMC stated that the outreach programme was conducted as part of the college’s commitment to promote value-based education and social responsibility among students.
Through the initiative, students and faculty members stepped beyond the classroom to engage directly with the community and practise the values of compassion, empathy, and service.
The programme began with a short time of worship and reflection, followed by distribution of food and clothing to homeless and needy in and around the railway station.
The release added that the initiative was aimed to encourage students to develop deeper sense of responsibility towards society while fostering a spirit of care and solidarity within the community.
