Nagaland Muaythai team departs for UMAI

DIMAPUR, MAY 30 (NPN): Nagaland Muaythai Team has departed to participate in the 7th UMAI (United Muaythai Association India) Youth National Muaythai Championship, scheduled to be held at Haldwani, Uttarakhand, from June 1 to 4, 2026.
Representing Nagaland at the prestigious national event are five young athletes: Akivika V. Yepthomi (U 15, 63.5 kg); Boaz Tissicca (U 17, 60 kg); Niuka Chophi (U 15, 63.5 kg); Dilshan Mehra (U 17, 75 kg) and Rishi Bannerjee (U 12, 36 kg).
The team is led by State Muaythai Coach Kru Hemavi Ayemi under the banner of the All Nagaland Amateur Muaythai Association (ANAMA).
Meanwhile, ANAMA expressed confidence in the athletes and extended best wishes as they represent Nagaland at the national level.
The championship will bring together top young Muaythai talents from across the country, providing a platform to showcase skills and competitive spirit.
