Nagaland: Nagaland fighters excel at Northeast India Muaythai & K1 C’ship in Tripura

DIMAPUR, DEC 18 (NPN)

Nagaland’s Muaythai athletes delivered a stellar performance at the Northeast India Muaythai & K1 Championship and CSD Fight Night (India vs Nepal), held at NSRCC Stadium, Agartala, from December 15 to 17, 2025.
The event was organized by the Combat Sport Development (CSD) Foundation, Tripura, in collaboration with the All Tripura Amateur Muaythai Association.
Representing Nagaland, Team Strike-Fit Academy secured a total of 11 medals, including 8 Gold, 2 Silver, and 1 Bronze. The team also celebrated an international professional victory, with Vihuto Sema (67 kg Pro Fight) winning his debut bout against a Nepalese opponent.
Gold Medalists: Aputo – 45 kg, Male, Under-23; Hisato Ayemi – 54 kg, Male, Elite; Pikato V. Awomi – 57 kg, Male, Under-17; Anazi Anar – 60 kg, Male, Elite; Niuka Chophy – 60 kg, Male (K1), Under-18; Phongmei Phom – 67 kg, Male, Under-23; Ravi Raj Chauhan – 60 kg, Male, Under-23; Lemnon Konyak – 45 kg, Female, Under-23.
Silver Medalists: Ringpal Dey – 45 kg, Male, Under-17; Huka Ayemi – 54 kg, Male, Under-23.
Bronze Medalist: Moangtemjen Imsong – 48 kg, Male, Under-23.
The 12-member Strike-Fit Academy team was led by Kru Hemavi (Coach), Pekingto Y. Jimo (Team Manager), and Moakumzuk Longchar (Technical Judge & Referee).
