Nature SBI Foundation organised a specialized dental health camp on January 6 at Sanphure Village, which saw participation from 13 villages across the Longmatra area.
Dentist Dr. Zioba Anar informed that dental procedures such as tooth extractions and temporary restorations were carried out. He expressed happiness in being part of the initiative, noting that serving people at the grassroots level was both fulfilling and purposeful.
Nature SBI Foundation Nagaland Project Lead, Longtili C. Sangtam, stated that the team moved from village to village each day to ensure healthcare reached people at their doorstep. He urged the public to make full use of the free services, emphasizing the Foundation’s commitment to extending healthcare even to the remotest corners. He also expressed gratitude to the Longmatra Area Students’ Union (LASU) for their cooperation and support in making the camp a success.
Providing village-wise participation details, LASU president Irothe T. Sangtam informed that 13 villages attended the camp, including Sanphure (48), Pongren (36), Sangtsoze (41), Tethuyo (38), Tütheze (29), Tsongphong (38), Ngoromi (24), Azetso (37), Aso (9), New Longmatra (36), Longmatra Town (29), Longmatra Village (41), and Tsongmulung Village (12). Village Councils and Church leaders were also present.
On behalf of the people of the Longmatra area, Irothe expressed gratitude to the Nature SBI Foundation Nagaland (Kiphire) team. He said it was a privilege to receive free dental and medical services at their doorstep, noting that villagers often face difficulties in traveling to towns for treatment. He described the initiative as timely, compassionate, and deeply impactful.
