Nagaland NCF Chennai observes 40th anniv

Naga Christian Fellowship (NCF) Chennai celebrated its 40th anniversary on November 16, coinciding with its cultural Sunday programme. The event was graced by Rev. Dr. Songram Basumatary, principal of Gurukul Lutheran Theological College and Research Institute, Chennai, as special guest speaker.
Addressing the gathering, Dr. Basumatary urged the NCF Chennai community to remain steadfast in their faith, reflecting God’s unwavering faithfulness. He encouraged members and leaders to persevere for future generations while acknowledging present challenges.
He also emphasized the importance of preserving tribal cultural values of Northeast India, particularly honesty and integrity, alongside traditional attire and customs.
NCF Chennai pastor Wapangtoshi expressed gratitude to past and present members, leaders, parent bodies, Christian denominations in Nagaland, well-wishers, and the governments of Nagaland and Tamil Nadu for their continued support. He also acknowledged the contributions of NCF Chennai’s global partners.
A key highlight of the celebration was the release of a commemorative magazine titled “The Journey of Faith: 40 Years of the Naga Christian Fellowship Chennai” by Rev. Dr. Basumatary.
The programme featured musical performances by Bartley Noel Dkhar, Shim & Friends, and was led by Vuto K. Chishi.
