Deputy chief minister, T.R. Zeliang inaugurated the largest sofa store in Northeast, “World of Sofas” at Supermarket here on Saturday.
Founded by CEO Ankit Jain and co-founder Garima Jain, the store is located in Supermarket area and offers a wide range of affordable, customizable sofas, stylish and crafted with global partners to meet international quality and comfort standards for customers. The store has products ranging from Rs. 5,000 upto Rs.3 lakh.
The store had three floors, with the basement offering the most economical options, the ground floor featuring a wider selection, and the first and second floors showcasing an even greater range. Inaugurating the store, T.R. Zeliang expressed gratitude to Dhawal Shah for supplying his products through Furnitech and appreciated the initiative taken by Ankit Jain and his wife.
He acknowledged the competitive market in Dimapur and expressed confidence that World of Sofas would attract the attention and meet the needs of the community.
Zeliang also underscored the potential for this branch to expand across the state as Dimapur undergoes significant transformation. He highlighted the positive changes in infrastructure, with new showrooms emerging between Dimapur and Kohima.
He affirmed that Dimapur is one of the fastest-growing cities in the northeast and believed that World of Sofas would become an iconic destination.
In his speech, guest of honour, advisor of Tribal Affairs & Election, H Tovihoto Ayemi, appreciated Mr. and Mrs. Ankit Jain for bringing a beautiful concept to Dimapur. He underscored that while this was not new for them, it was unique for the people of Dimapur and the state.
Founder & CEO Furnitech Seating Systems Pvt. Ltd, Dhawal Shah underscored that a sofa was more than just furniture, as it embodies a feeling and serves as the soul of the home. Earlier the program was moderated by Imnasenla, with a lighting of lamp ceremony, and welcome note by Ankit Jain.
