Nagaland: NEAN calls off proposed total cease work protest

DIMAPUR, DEC 10 (NPN)

National Health Mission Employees Association Nagaland (NEAN) Wednesday announced its decision to call off the proposed “total cessation of work”, which was scheduled to commence after December 10, 2025.
In a press release, NEAN president Dr. Thungjamo Ngullie and general secretary Kewetso Kenye said the decision was taken after receiving a written assurance from the National Health Mission (NHM) Kohima mission director that all the pending salaries from September till November 2025 would be cleared on priority on or before December 18, 2025.
The second general body meeting of the association held on December 10, 2025 at Kohima, however, decided, with caution, that if assurance was not fulfilled and salaries were not released by December 18, 2025, the association would be compelled to go for total cessation of work till such time the pending salaries were cleared up to date.
