Nagaland: Neikotsilie is CYO Group-D wrestling champ

Neikotsilie Krose of Medziphema Town emerged as the champion in the senior wrestling category at the Chakhroma Youth Organisation (CYO) Group-D Wrestling cum Volleyball Meet 2026, which commenced on Monday at New Medziphema Village.
In the senior wrestling competition, Medoselhou Kuotsu of Medziphema Village secured second place, followed by Keneivilie Meyase of Medziphema Village in third position, while Kikruvizo Kimho of Piphema finished fourth.
In the junior (U-15) wrestling category, Vikuosie Kuotsu of Medziphema Village clinched the championship title. Visalhoukho Tsukrü of Medziphema Village secured second place, while Neilhoulie Nakhro of Medziphema Village and Razoukhrie Yhoshii of New Medziphema Village finished third and fourth respectively.
The meet will conclude with volleyball matches for both men’s and women’s categories on the second day. The closing function will be graced by GB of New Medziphema Village, R. Dziesetuo Rupreo, as the guest of honour.
The two-day sporting event is being hosted by the New Medziphema Village Youth Organisation. PS to the Advisor for Urban Development and Minority Affairs, Pelevito Kuotsu, graced the opening ceremony as the chief guest.
Earlier, the inaugural programme was chaired by Ketoucalie Kuotsu, while the welcome address was delivered by CYO Group-D president Keneiletuo Kera. Vikedo Kweho led the invocation, a special number was presented by MVSU, and the oath-taking ceremony was administered by Games and Sports Secretary Avikho Chupuo.
CYO Group-D comprises Piphema Village, Tsiepama Village, Medziphema Village, Medziphema Town and New Medziphema Village.
