Nagaland NMA seek impartial probe into Kohima murder case

DIMAPUR, OCT 30 (NPN)

Naga Mothers’ Association (NMA) has demanded impartial probe into the brutal murder of a 22-year-old woman, whose body was found near a ring well at Old Minister’s Hill, Kohima on October 25.
In a representation to Nagaland governor, NMA president Vilanuo Angela Yhome and vice president Malsawmthangi Leyri appealed for expediting the investigation and awarding befitting punishment to the perpetrator(s) and ensure that rule of law prevails and justice delivered.
Further, NMA urged the state government to take necessary preventive measures to prevent recurrence of violence and killings in the State.
Expressing deep shock over the incident, NMA said the “heinous murder committed upon our daughter” once again shattered them beyond imagination. It also appealed to all citizens to shun violence and exercise utmost restraint. NMA also affirmed solidarity with the victim and her family and extend heartfelt condolences.
