Nagaland: NNC/FGN holds Tatar Hoho 2026 session

NNC/FGN led by Senka Ao and Zhopra Vero, convened the Tatar Hoho 2026 session on January 28 at Toulazouma Village.
NNC/FGN through its MIP informed that during the session, the house presented the national budget for the fiscal year 2026–27 and deliberated extensively on various Naga political and national issues, with the objective of fostering unity among the Nagas. After thorough discussion, the house unanimously declared 2026 as the “Year of Naga Unity.”
Acknowledging that stability was essential for effective governance, the assembly resolved to uphold accountability and transparency in financial matters at all levels. The Council of Kilonsers reaffirmed its stand to uphold to the declaration of Naga Independence of August 14, 1947 and the Naga Plebiscite of May 16, 1951. The Council of Kilonsers also resolved that Article 45 of the Yehzabo of Nagaland empowers the Kedahge of the NNC/FGN to execute as and when deemed necessary in the interest of the nation.
During the session, Kuhoi Achumi was elected as deputy speaker, while 15 Kilonser were inducted. Among the senior leaders Victor Pochury was assigned the portfolio of Kilo Kilonser, Vepozo Chuzho with Rali Wali, Tingloi Konyak as Alee, and Vikihe Zhimomi as Chaplee Kilonser. In the joint meeting of the NNC and FGN Sekuto Shijoh was elected as the joint secretary of NNC.
