Nagaland: NPF Minority Wing holds ‘Social Meet cum Greet 2026’ in Dmu

DIMAPUR

Naga Peoples Front (NPF) Minority Wing organised a “Social Meet cum Greet 2026” on January 4, 2026 at the NPF Division office, Landmark Colony, Dimapur, to welcome the New Year.
According to a press release from NPF Minority Wing, NPF senior vice president, Blaise Ilheulung, and co-incharge Minority Wing and central general secretary of NPF, Nungsang Jamir, in their address shared insights on the party’s work culture, principles and activities.
They lauded the contribution of non-Naga leaders both before and after statehood, and stated that if a dedicated and eligible leader was identified, NPF would forward a candidate to represent minority communities from Dimapur-I Assembly Constituency, the only open seat as nominated or elected.
Dimapur NPF Division working president, Sakho Angami, highlighted the importance of minority participation in politics, while Minority Wing leaders Mahendra Thousen (working president), Apun Naben (working president) and Devendra Rana (vice president) also shared their experiences with the party.
NPF Central Minority Wing president, Bishnu Bhattacharjee, extended New Year greetings on behalf of the Minority Wing and its community voters, and reaffirmed commitment to strengthening the party to the best of its capacity. He stated that NPF, as the oldest regional party in North East India, possesses a clear mandate from the people, enabling it to unite and bring development to the region through dedicated service.
The programme began with prayers and words of wisdom from leaders of the NPF Central leadership and Minority Wing, invocation by GS Minority Wing, Dimapur division, Anand Gurung, and benediction by general secretary, Minority Wing, Central, Keshak Momin.
The meeting was chaired by vice president, Minority Wing, Roshan Tamang, and vote of thanks by general secretary, NPF Minority Wing, Roshan BK.
