DIMAPUR

Naga People’s Front (NPF) Zunheboto Division organised a Pre-Christmas Celebration at Ayigha Hall, NPF office, Zunheboto, on December 19, bringing together party leaders, members and well-wishers in a spirit of fellowship and festive joy.
Extending warm greetings, Khehoshe Yepthomi, president, NPF Zunheboto division, conveyed a message of hope, peace and unity to party workers and town council councillors under Zunheboto district. In his Christmas message, Yepthomi reminded that the celebration marks the birth of Jesus Christ, which brought hope, peace and salvation to humanity. He said the season calls upon people to reflect on love, humility and service to one another, while strengthening bonds of togetherness within communities.
Highlighting the spirit of reconciliation, Yepthomi described Christmas as a time to forgive, unite and renew commitment towards peace and harmony. He expressed gratitude for the successful celebration of Advent Christmas made possible through the contributions of five legislators under the leadership of G. Kaito Aye, minister and district in-charge, along with the NPF Zunheboto division.
Herato Sukhalu, chairman, Zunheboto Town Council (ZTC), in his greetings, lauded the NPF Zunheboto division for its constant support and urged the party to continue extending the same in the years ahead.
Earlier, the programme was chaired by Meritoli H. Zhimo, vice president, Women Wing, while Inavito Chishi, general secretary, NPF Zunheboto Division, served as recorder. The event began with an invocation prayer by Ahoto Tuccu, working president, Farmers’ Wing, followed by the opening hymn “Joy to the World.” Scripture reading was presented by Lino Yeptho, while ceremonial cake cutting was conducted by Bovitolii Yeptho, secretary, Women Wing. A rendition of “Holy Night” by Ghokivi Awomi was among the highlights of the programme.
The service concluded with a benediction pronounced by Marina Assumi, secretary, NPF Zunheboto division, followed by a grand luncheon and musical extravaganza featuring Ghokivi Awomi, winner of the Sumi Love Song Competition (3rd Edition).
