National People’s Youth Front (NPYF) and National People’s Women Front (NPWF), frontal organisations of the National People’s Party (NPP), jointly organised a relief distribution programme for families affected by the recent fire tragedy at Burma Camp, East Block.
The devastating incident severely impacted 75 households, affecting a total of 622 families, many of whom were left without basic necessities. In response, NPYF and NPWF distributed clothes, relief aid and essential commodities to ease the immediate hardships faced by the victims.
According to the organisers, the initiative was undertaken in the spirit of giving, unity and humanitarian service, reflecting NPP’s commitment to stand with the people during times of crisis. Members of both fronts also interacted with the affected families, offering words of encouragement and assuring them of continued support. Leaders from NPYF and NPWF stressed that such efforts were not merely acts of charity but a moral responsibility to support fellow citizens in distress. They lauded the resilience and courage shown by the affected families during this difficult period. Reiterating their commitment to community welfare, NPYF and NPWF appealed to all sections of society to extend help, reinforcing the values of compassion and solidarity.
