Nagaland NSCN/GPRN Chakhesang Region against illicit activities

Central Administrative Officer (CAO), Chakhesang Region, NSCN/GPRN has issued a public notification cautioning against illegal activities reportedly taking place within Phek district. The release, issued by Neisalie Krome, Caretaker CAO, stated that the organization has taken serious note of incidents involving the illicit sale of liquor, drug peddling, and extortion.
Invoking powers under the Code of Criminal Procedure and NSCN/GPRN directives, the CAO warned that no individual or establishment will be permitted to sell or distribute intoxicating liquor within the region. The trafficking, sale, and possession of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances are strictly prohibited, and any person found engaging in such acts will face severe action.
The notification further stated that extortion and illegal taxation in the name of NSCN/GPRN will not be tolerated. Individuals or groups found defaming the organization or imposing unauthorized levies on businessmen or citizens will be prosecuted to the fullest extent deemed fit by the authority.
