Nagaland NSCN (I-M) Angami Region bans underage in hotels, discos & bars

NSCN (I-M) Angami Region has banned the sale of alcohol, circulation of illegal drugs, extortion, and accommodation of underage individuals in hotels, lodges, guest houses, night discos and bars within Kohima district.
In a directive, Caretaker CAO, Theja Kire, said that decision follows growing concerns over extortion, drug abuse, and rising incidents of minors being accommodated in night establishments. After thorough assessment, the CAO said that authority has imposed an immediate and total ban on: Sale and supply of alcohol in all forms; Possession, sale and use of illegal drugs and prohibited narcotics; accommodation of underage individuals in hotels, lodges, guest houses, discos or bars under any circumstances and extortion or imposition of taxes on businessmen or individuals in the name of NSCN/GPRN
The CAO cautioned that any establishment or individual found violating the order will face stern action as per the Government Azha and internal regulations.
In this regard, all hotels, restaurants, night establishments and business operators have been directed to adhere to the directives.
The authority urged all residents, stakeholders and business operators to extend full cooperation for effective enforcement. For violations, the public have been asked to 9089502929.
