Nagaland NSCN (I-M) condemns ‘misleading’ social media post

DIMAPUR, NOV 1 (NPN)

NSCN (I-M) has strongly condemned a false and misleading post published on October 29, 2025, by a Facebook group called “The Watch Point Journal”, which claimed that “deputy ato kilonser V.S. Atem of Talui village is expected to soon replace ato kilonser Th. Muivah; both are from the Ukhrul district.”
In a statement issued by its MIP, NSCN (I-M) said the baseless claim directly undermined the authority, administration, and leadership of the GPRN. It stated that such fabrications sow confusion, erode public trust, and endanger the integrity of the organization.
Terming the post as “irresponsible,” NSCN (I-M) strongly condemned it and demanded that the administrators of “The Watch Point Journal” immediately delete the offensive post in its entirety.
The group further cautioned that it would not tolerate the spread of unauthenticated, divisive, or malicious information under any circumstances and warned that any further violations would be met with appropriate action.
NSCN (I-M) said that following the overwhelming success Muivah’s public meetings at Ukhrul, Somdal, and Senapati, “a spellbound situation appeared to have been created in the minds of the Indian security forces and intelligence agencies.” It said that a lot of “political nonsense” is being trolled to attack the political significance of Muivah’s home visit.
