Nagaland: NSCN (K) suspends‘Max Naga’ for 6 months

DIMAPUR, DEC 17 (NPN)

NSCN-K (Khango-Vusshe) has issued a suspension order against “capt.” Amento Sema alias “Max Naga” bearing A/No.19826 of UT-1 region for a period of six months from active service for “his unwarranted execution of a government directive on his own accord, in contravention of organizational discipline.”
NSCN/GPRN (Khango-Vusshe) through its MIP stated that suspension order was issued in the larger interest of the Nagas and in order to uphold the August 20 agreement with the Angami Youth Organization (AYO).
NSCN(K) expressed firm belief that the disciplinary measure against the erring cadre would reinforce internal accountability and demonstrate its commitment to honouring the understanding reached with the AYO.
Further, NSCN(K) expressed hope that the step it had taken would help restore cordial relations between the two entities and thereby contribute to strengthening the common political cause of the Nagas.
On Tuesday, the Angami Youth Organisation (AYO) and NSCN-K (Khango-Vusshe) announced that they have resolved their differences and reached a reconciliation, bringing an end to a period of non-cooperation between the two sides.
