Nagaland: NSEDM conducts Enterprise Readiness Workshop

DIMAPUR

Nagaland Skill & Entrepreneurship Development Mission (NSEDM), IDAN, conducted a two-day Enterprise Readiness Support Workshop for micro and aspiring entrepreneurs from across Nagaland on February 6 and 7, 2027 at Circuit House, Aradurah, Kohima.
This marks the first workshop under NSEDM exclusively designed to support entrepreneurs in the State. Structured as an intensive programme, it aimed to ensure deeper engagement and meaningful learning, with plans for follow-up mentorship and handholding support.
A post-workshop module is being developed to guide participants through the foundational stages of their entrepreneurial journey.
Delivering the opening remarks, I. Changsang, Under Secretary & Project Manager (I/C), NSEDM, IDAN, stressed that language and background should not be barriers to entrepreneurship. He urged participants to move beyond a salary-dependent mindset, highlighting entrepreneurship as a key solution to unemployment and economic growth.
The workshop covered themes including entrepreneurship readiness and mindset, growth and business strategy, digital skills, business operations, cost analysis, regulatory awareness, credit linkages, and basic financial literacy and risk management. Resource persons facilitated sessions with practical tools and real-time experiences, while participants were introduced to government-supported credit schemes.
On the second day, participants engaged in a Plan of Action exercise, identifying challenges within their business domains and mapping practical solutions. The programme concluded with a certification ceremony.
NSEDM reiterated its commitment to nurturing entrepreneurship, promoting self-employment, and enabling sustainable livelihoods in Nagaland through continuous capacity building and post-training support.
