Naga Students’ Federation (NSF) has appealed to the state government for immediate appointment of Nagaland Public Service Commission (NPSC) chairman and members.
In a representation addressed to the state chief minister, NSF president Mteisuding and assistant general secretary Veze Tunyi stated that NPSC chairman and members demitted office on September 13, 2025, but no appointment had been made to fill those crucial positions till date. NSF stated that this persistent vacancy has created administrative stagnation within the commission, resulting in “unnecessary hurdles” for aspirants, particularly those affected by the upper age limit criteria. The federation stated that such delays not only disrupted the examination calendar but also jeopardised the aspirations and future prospects of numerous candidates across the state.
Therefore, the federation has for immediate appointment of NPSC chairman and members to ensure the smooth functioning of the commission while facilitating the timely conduct of examinations and related recruitment processes.
