Nagaland: NSLSA to launch 90-Day ‘Mediation for the Nation 2.0’ Drive

DIMAPUR

Following the successful completion of Mediation for the Nation 1.0 in 2025, the second edition is a 90-day intensive campaign aimed at settling pending cases across Taluk Courts, District Courts, and High Courts of India through mediation.
According to data from Nagaland, the Nagaland State Legal Services Authority (NSLSA) had amicably settled 90 disputes out of 397 cases referred by District Legal Services Authorities (DLSAs) and the High Court Legal Services Committee (HCLSC) during the first edition.
In line with NALSA’s directive, NSLSA has informed all DLSAs in the state to conduct the 90-day mediation drive beginning March 2026. Cases eligible for referral include matrimonial disputes, accident claims, domestic violence, cheque bounce matters, commercial disputes, service matters, criminal compoundable cases, consumer disputes, partition cases, eviction cases, land acquisition cases, and other suitable civil disputes.
NSLSA has urged advocates, litigants, and the general public to take advantage of the campaign by referring eligible cases for mediation.
